Kanye West kicks Off Presidential Campaign Amidst Controversy

The campaign for the presidency of the United States begins in earnest for Kanye West as he kicks off his presidential campaign in South Carolina. The day is Sunday, 19 July 2020.

In a move that puzzled many and spawned controversy instantly, Kanye West stated that Harriet Tubman, “The Black Moses” instrumental to the freeing of thousands of Black Slaves, did not free black slaves but was rather instrumental – a “middleman” –  in moving them from one place of power to another.

The chagrin that statement elicited can better be imagined.

In another clip, which was just as controversial, the songster spoke of how he almost harmed his daughter. He didn’t specify which of his daughters he almost harmed, but it was clear from the clip that his admission alarmed his audience.

In yet another clip, the “DONDA” rapper flew off the rapper and stormed off stage. Has the champ had enough already?
