Kaya 959 and media star, Unathi Nkayi have parted ways “effective immediately”.
A new statement shared by radio station, Kaya 959 reveals that the station has just parted ways with presenter, Unathi Nkayi. There is no much info as to what transpired between them, but we can confirm that the termination of Unathi’s contract has immediately taken effect.
The popular presenter was host of the station’s Midday Joy With Unathi, on weekdays between 12:00 and 15:00. Kaya is yet to announce a replacement for her. In the shared statement to social media, it is revealed that the contract ended ‘prematurely’ “due to certain conduct that rendered the relationship intolerable going forward”.
It further reveals that “certain incidents” occured between the station and the presenter, leading to the “breakdown of the trust relationship between the two parties”. However, they have failed to reveal what the incidents that occured between them were. Unathi is yet to say a thing about this.

Kaya 959 can confirm the contract of presenter Ms. Unathi Nkayi has been terminated, effective immediately.
Ms. Nkayi’s contract has ended prematurely due to certain conduct that rendered the relationship intolerable going forward. Kaya 959 can confirm that certain incidents had occurred, which resulted in the breakdown of the trust relationship between the two parties. The business can furth confirm that due process was followed and the decision was therefore made to part ways with Ms. Nkayi.
