King Perryy Premieres Citizen of the World Album

Nigerian songster King Perryy is a “Citizen of the World” – or so he declares in his debut album which you can stream here on UbeToo.

A first compilation, it bears great significance for King Perryy. He admits this much in a note on Instagram, acknowledging all who were instrumental to the making of the project, including Timaya, the boss of Dem Mama Records, the record label to which Perryy is signed.

“Citizen of the World” is a 17-track project. The songs might be play nut the play time is pretty short. The enire project plays for a little over 45 minutes – that’s a couple of minutes less than an hour.

For this project, King Perryy had the likes of Timaya, Oxlade, Phyno, PsychYP and Mayorkun as guests. The project begins with an intro of just 25 seconds. And then king Perry had takes celebratory liberties in a track titled “African Boy.”

The project ends on a “Prayer” note. Contrary to what the title might suggest, King Perry does not trap the leader into a proselytizing swamp with this number. It is no gospel tune, either, although the title might suggest that.

“Citizen of the World” affirms King Perryy’s place as an artiste worth checking out.
