It is common knowledge that not everyone gets to receive their royalty while still alive. So, for some, it is a thing of celebration when they get to receive their royalties. That is the story of South African singer Lady Du right now.
She has just received her payment from the South African Musical Rights organization, and she couldn’t be more excited.
In a tweet on her official Twitter account, she asked if people had gotten their royalties while also announcing that she has received hers. She showed her appreciation and respect for the organization by using three hands in the air emojis. You can check out her post below.

SAMRO also tweeted giving insight into its performance the previous year, as well as prospects to generate more funds for artists and other entertainers. It noted that it had collected R515 million in licenses and royalty income, which represents a R38 million increase compared to the previous year.
It also noted that more royalties were distributed to SAMRO members in the year in question.
