There’s nothing as encouraging as being recognized for one’s contributions to society. People want to do more when they’re recognized and encouraged. Well, our own Lamiez Holworthy has just bagged a South African Heroines award.
Excited about the honour, the radio DJ and presenter had shouted out the award organizers, thanking them for deeming her worthy of the honour. She also shouted out members of her foundation, as well as her mother, for all she has done for her. You can check out her post below.
The Heroines Awards recognizes South African women who have done well by society and their localities. The choice of Lamiez Holworthy is not surprising, though
Through the Lamiez Holworthy Foundation, as well as in her personal capacity, the songstress has been giving hope to many across South Africa. She also picks random peeps in need and helps them the way she can.
The songstress, who is married to the hip hop ace Khuli Chana, recently released her debut single after years sharing the works of others.
It remains to be seen in what creative and altruistic directions her latest Heroines award will take her to. Anyway, and as her fans have been saying, besides inundating her with congratulations, she deserved the scudetto.
