The drama continues for the cast of Love Island, with fans of the reality show taking sides with members of the cast.
The recent episode saw a fellow Islander, Jacques, branding Ekin-Su “a f***ing headache.” That description didn’t sit well with some social media users. It provoked mixed reactions on Twitter, with some agreeing with Jacques and others faulting him.
The prelude to Jacques calling Ekin-Su a headache was the explosive argument she had with her partner Jay. She had found out Hay was interested in getting to know another Islander (Paige). It dint sit well with her, so she ended up in a fiery argument in which she had been “led on” by Jay.
Jacques deciding to intervene by calling Ekin-Su a headache further exacerbated the situation. And viewers intervened. It turned out most were in support of Ekin-Su.
One angry tweeter snapped that Ekin-Su doesn’t deserve all the treatment she’s getting from the men and that their treatment of her smacks of misogyny. Another snapped that she was marginalized on the island, getting no respect from the ladies, while her partner, in turn, isn’t rated by the blokes.
Would anything change n the coming days, especially in the treatment of Ekin-Su? Time will tell.
