L’vovo Pulls Out Of Cotton Fest On Health Grounds – See Statement

Expectations are high for the upcoming Cotton Fest, a music festival founded by the late Riky Rick. But one man expected at the ven but who might not be present to perform is L’vovo Derrango. The songster has just pulled out of the show, citing the advice of his doctors.

L’vovo suffered a stroke last year, which made many South Africans worried because another musician, Mampintsa, died following a minor stroke the same year. L’vovo survived and now his doctors have told him to take things easy.

In an official statement shared on his verified Instagram account, the celebrated Kwaito musician noted that the past few months have been one of the toughest in his life, but then, his family, friends and doctors have been of great support.

After a lengthy discussion, he’s pulling out from the festival, apologetic to the organisers, as he has to take care of his health first. He is, however, optimistic that he would be able to perform at the festival sometime in the future. You can check out the statement below.

The Cotton Fest was originally conceived as a hip-hop festival. But following Riky Rick’s death by suicide, artists of other genres have been allowed to perform as well.
