Famous SA Hip Hop duo Majorsteez have released the music video for their impressive joint “Smooth Operator” featuring AKA.
In October last year, Majorsteez excited fans when they unveiled their collaboration with the late AKA. Of course, everyone was thrilled to hear it. The iconic rapper had passed in February after getting shot while leaving a birthday dinner in Durban. New music from him is basically a treasure.
Majorsteez has now returned with the official music video for the joint titled “Smooth Operator.” Slikour reports that the duo paid homage to the late rapper in the new visuals by replicating his “music video for ‘Run Jozi (Godly)’; a single off of AKA’s acclaimed album, 2014’s ‘Levels.'”
The video also featured a snippet of him speaking on Hip-Hop towards the end. Also, Supa Mega appears as an AI rapping his verse inside a television. That alone left everyone in their feelings, and they praised the brother duo for a job well done.
They have not shared any information about releasing more music this year. However, this is a great way to start the new year. They revealed that the video took them just over a month to make. It certainly was worth it.
