Popular venda artiste Makhadzi is under fire for apparently violating COVID-19 protocols during a performance.
The “Murahu” muso held a concert recently, dubbed one woman show. She performed from an elevated podium that distanced her from the crowd. But there was no social distancing among the concertgoers. And most of them were not wearing masks.
Makhadzi had shared a clip of her performance at the concert, describing it as a success and thanking those who attended. You can check out the clip below.
Social media users who saw the clip were unimpressed and slammed Makhadzi for not following COVID-19 protocols. One particular fan described the concert as a superspreader.
Another Twitter user wondered why churches are being condemned as superspreaders when Makhadzi had done worse with her one woman concert.
By the way, she isn’t the first entertainer to be condemned for holding concerts that might turn out superspreaders. Months back, Nomcebo Zikode had been similarly criticized.
Last we checked, Makhadzi has not responded to the criticisms her performance elicited
