Man Sues Tiger Owners After Animal Mauled Him

Tigers are not animals anyone would like to run into in the streets or anywhere for that matter – except, say, in a zoo environment when there is no risk of loss of life.

But when a tiger gets loose and roams, there’s the chance someone would encounter it and be faced with grave danger. That’s exactly what played out recently. A tiger had reportedly escaped from its cage in the Walkerville area and attacked a man and his dog.

While the man, at this point unnamed, survived the incident, he isn’t taking the attack lightly and has reportedly sued the owner of the animal for attacking him. He is currently on admission at a hospital and receiving treatment.

The tiger attack reportedly took place in Johannesburg on Saturday night, with the mauled man unaware a Tiger had gotten loose from its cage. At the time of writing, the tiger is still on the loose, and authorities are warning locals to be cautious as they go about their daily activities.

It’s unclear whether the 39-year-old victim of the tiger attack will get the relief he is seeking in court. Whatever the outcome of the case, we might bring it to you, so please stay tuned.
