When the song reach platinum and then double platinum, the songster had shared the milestone on his social media channels. So it is inevitable he should do the same when the record reached three times platinum in Italy.
In a recent tweet, the songster had stated that when he landed in Italy, he had been surprised with a triple platinum plaque. Last we checked, Master KG is the first South African millennial to reach three times platinum in Italy. So, expectedly, his latest plaque should mean a lot to him.
“Jerusalema” wasn’t a great hit at the time of release. But it blew up soon after, becoming one of the most streamed song in South Africa’s music history and earning Master KG a place at the table of celebrated international figures, including Vin Diesel.
