Maxhosa Out To Eat The Big Apple

When you are good at what you do, doors open for you easily in places far and new, beautiful and desirable. The evidence of the reality all around us. If you should ask the South African designer Laduma Ngxokolo, he would readily tell you he is the exemplification of this reality.

Interestingly, he would be right to say that given the history of his evolution as a designer and the face behind the immensely successful MaXhosa brand that has just made it to the Big Apple.

You heard that right. MaXhosa is now in New York City, which is long famous as “The Big Apple,” a name popularized by the novelist F. John Key Fitzgerald.

Laduma is currently in New York City, where he is expected to open a pop-up soon. The South African designer is more than happy to be in the city, but it wouldn’t be his first time there. He was in the city for the first time in 2015, exactly five years after founding MaXhosa.

Now he returns to the same place to give a part of his creative essence to the city which he has come to love and has positive words to share about. Life.
