Minnie Dlamini’s relationship with her husband Quinton Jones may have ended, but the drama surrounding their relationship shows no signs of ending anytime soon.
This much was obvious once again following a tease of The Roast of Minnie Dlamini, where several jabs and questions were thrown at her – all in good humour, of course, with her responses also recorded as part of the show.
Rumours have been making the rounds of Minnie being obligated (some would say being requested) to pay spousal support to her husband.
although she appeared to have kept quiet over the rumours, she seemingly addressed it during the roast, painting out that she wouldn’t pay any spousal support. Those words indicate that Quinton may have been asking for spousal support as part of their divorce settlement, but she isn’t having it.
In her own words, “I’ve got one last thing to say. I’m not paying no f**king maintenance.” Such vehemence points to her somehow feeling offended at the thought that she would have to pay support to the man she once called her husband.
And for those who believe the couple would somehow reconcile along the line, Minnie has dismissed that ever happening. But life must go on.
