Miss SA 2021 Lalela Mswane has opened up about her absence in Poland for the Miss Supranatural 2023.
Lalela Mswane has finally opened up about the backlash she got for being absent at Miss Supranational 2023 in Poland. She was heavily criticized for not taking part in the road to finding her 2023 Miss Supranatural successor in Poland.
Recently appearing in an interview on eNCA’s My Guest Tonight with Anika Larsen, she expressed her frustration with the backlash and revealed she had an event to host before going. She also said she should always be allowed to explain herself.
The official Miss Supranational account also released a statement in her defense. It read, “We have been made aware that Lalela has become the victim of #cyberbullying because of this, something we are #TOTALLY against. @lalela_mswane has been booked for an important event in South Africa before joining us in Poland. This event aligns with her aspirational goals, and she has the approval and full support of this organization to pursue her career goals.”
