Amapiano duo MFR Souls got fans talking when they performed at a democratic Alliance (DA) gig. This virtual show, which goes by the hashtag #TimeForChange, was broadcast across south Africa and many got to view it. .
Some fans who saw the performance were amused and wondered why the duo should perform for the Democratic Alliance, the official opposition to the ruling African national Congress.
While some laughed at the two friends for performing at the DA gig, others commended them, stating tat a gi was a gig and the pair had to take up any show that caters to their needs.
MFR has not responded to the mixed reactions their performance elicited, and it is doubtful the group will say anything concerning that.
By the way, MFR Soul is ne of the notable groups in South Africa’s amapiano orbit. The group has released a couple of hits. And from the looks of things, they’re not done yet. In an industry where groups vanish almost as soon as they appear, MFR Souls has shown great staying power.
