Mzansi rapper Boity clinched the Best Female category at the South African Hip Hop Awards (SAHHA) this year and she’s excited about her win.
Out on social media, though, opinions are divided on whether she’s deserving of the award at all.
Most social media users thought there were artistes more deserving of the award than her. One even pointed out that Gigi Lamayne was way better and should have been crowned best Female.
Another was puzzled that Moozlie, who was reportedly leading with online votes, did not eventually snap the award. The same user had noted that while he, alongside others, had sympathized with Boity, it wasn’t to the extent to propel her to win.

Amid the dissent to Boity’s crowing as Best Female at the SAHHA this year, her fans and friends have been showering her with congratulations while noting she deserved the award and more.
Among those who had congratulated her on her win was Masechaba Khumalo, who recently claimed that Jub Jub raped her when she was younger. Ms. Cosmo had also shouted Boity out, noting she’s proud of the “Bakae” crooner.
Well, from the look of things, it is to each his fave. There’ll always be winners and losers.
