Mzansi Divided As Euphonik Applauds EFF For Winnie Mandela Tribute

South African radio host and DJ Euphonik has applauded the opposition party, Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), for paying tribute to the late Winnie Mandela.

It would have been just another tribute, except that the DJ and producer has been in the news way too much recently – and not exactly for good.

So South Africa is somewhat divided by his words to the EFF. While some applauded him for the courage to speak out, others would rather he keep quiet and face his own business.

Euphonik was recently accused, alongside his pal DJ Fresh, of rape. The lady who’d made the allegations claimed that one or both of them raped her in 2011. Both musicians denied knowing the lady, let alone ever violating her.

Angered by her allegations, they had jointly slammed her with a defamation suit. The lady’s rape suit against both DJs was dismissed. Incidentally, their defamation suit against her was thrown out as well.

However, since the allegations blew into the open, some peeps have stopped taken Euphonik and DJ Fresh too seriously, and whatever both say are usually thoroughly scrutinized by the public.

Not surprising, Euphonik’s note to the EFF has divided South Africans. But for how long?
