South African goalie Itumeleng Khune might not be part of the Afcon team – as in not serving as a goalkeeper in the current campaign – but he has nothing short of goodwill to those who will be part of the team, especially the goalie Ronwen Williams.
Williams had taken to his Instagram page where he gave the Afcon countdown, noting in the caption that people (really himself) should never stop dreaming.
Well, he should know. After all, he dreamed of being here, and he is now here. <His post resonated with many South Africans, including Itu Khune, who, like several others, popped into the comment section.
In his comment, Itu wished Williams and other players the best in their campaign. Many South Africans who saw Itu’s response were impressed and praised him for supporting Williams and the other team members. You can check out the post below.
For Itu, the positive energy from the public should easily take away the recent controversies over his arriving at training drunk, leading to his suspension by his club. At least, it has not taken the spirit of goodwill away from him and didn’t stop training despite having to train alone as a result of the suspension.
