Nomcebo Zikode and Open Mic Productions Have Reached A Settlement

Grammy-winning Mzansi singer Nomcebo Zikode and Open Mic Productions have reached a settlement and will release a new collaboration.

Since 2021, Nomcebo Zikode and Open Mic Productions have been at odds. If you record, the singer had accused the label of not paying her royalties from her hit collaboration “Jerusalema” with Master KG.

The feud escalated following the singer’s Grammy Award win this year. She sued the label for removing the winning song “Bayethe” from Spotify. It won the Grammy Award for “Best Global Music Performance.” According to a source for ZiMoja, the singer and Open Mic have almost reached an agreement and are already working on a new project.

“They are in the process of releasing a project, and then they will part ways amicably. The case is still pending, however, and they need to reach an agreement.” Open Mic Productions seems to be in a fight with its artists, the most recent one being Makhadzi.
