“Not Our Makoti” – Mampintsha’s Family Rejects Babes Wodumo

The drama isn’t over yet for Babes Wodumo and her in-laws. In fact, the situation appeared to have bee worsened when Babes swore at her mother-in-law during an Instagram Live session.

In a recent chat with Daily Sun, Pinki Gumede, a sister to Babes Wodumo’s husband Mampitsha, noted that her family has rejected Babes Wodumo as their “makoti.” And as far as they’re concerned, she’s only a girlfriend and not the legal wife of the “Diego” crooner.

She claimed that Babes Wodumo has refused to perform in a traditional ceremony called Umembseo because, according to Babes whose father is a pastor, it is against her religion.

She wondered why Babs has continued to reject performing the traditional ceremony when she knows that her husband follows traditional customs.

By the way, Babes Wodumo recently had a falling out with her manager, Keke Mokoena. Keke had reportedly dumped the gqom queen, whom he described as unmanageable.

Babes was undaunted, however. She had quickly picked a new manager. The new manager will now manage not only her but her husband, Mampintsha, as well.
