Lavida NOTA is infamous for always yabbing Mzansi musicians for one reason or the other. And among those he has berated at some point is Cassper Nyovest. During a recent interview, though, the music executive appeared to be in a good mood and gave Cass his flowers.
During a recent podcast interview, NOTA did the unusual: He actually praised Cassper Nyovest and likened him to Jay-Z, a man with enormous faith in his abilities and unapologetic about it – yes, a musician with a superstar vibe.
As a result of this attitude, he noted that Cassper Nyovest is one artist who does not need a record executive. Compared to Kwesta, who appears somewhat laid back.
Kwest and NOTA were former associates at a record label called RapLyf. NOTA was the one managing the “Ngud” hitmaker at the time along the line, though, they had fallen out, and NOTA accused him of embezzlement.
Cassper has had his big stick as well. The fight with NOTA was front page news at the time, and the Family Tree boss had called NOTA a fraudster.
