Infamous for always speaking her mind, South Africa’s anti-GBV advocate and poet Ntsiki Mazwai has riled the gay community again with her recent statements.
In a recent tweet, she questioned why trans women are offered space in women-only spaces. Her tweet didn’t sit well with many on social media, and they called her out and dragged her over it.
When on Twitter user responded to her comments about transwomen having access to spaces made for women, she made it clear that she does not see transwomen as women. Organizations and individuals alike dragged her over it, with some describing her as “reckless.”
Ntsiki Mazwai readily admits that the trans conversation is difficult and uncomfortable to have but still necessary, and she isn’t much bothered about the reactions to her take on transwomen. You can check out the tweet below.
Given how far she has come and how she has always stood her ground on many issues without caring what others think about her opinions, her recent take on transwomen would in no way surprise anyone who knows her.
