OSCARS 2022: Billie Eilish & Finneas Win Best Original Song

Billie Eilish and brother, FINNEAS beat Beyoncé, Reba McIntyre, and more to win “Best Original Song” at the Academy Awards 2022.

The girl born in the 21st century has gone and done it again. Billie Eilish and her older brother, Finneas O’Connor have made their fans proud yet again. The two snagged the Academy Award for “Best Original Song” last night and fans could not hold their excitement.

Billie, 20, became the first person born in the 21st century to win an Oscar. She was in a category with nominees including Beyonce Knowles for “Be Alive (from the motion picture ‘King Richard’)”, Reba McIntyre for “Somehow You Do (from the motion picture ‘Four Good Days’)”, Lin-Manuel Miranda for “Los Oringuitas”, and Van Morrison “Down To Joy”. The song won a Grammy Award back in March 2021.

Billie also appeared as one of the performers last night. The Awards show was opened by Beyoncé with an incredible performance of “Be Alive” out in the street. It simply was divine. Eilish also hit the stage with brother FINNEAS for a performance of the Oscar-winning song “No Time To Die” from the 007 film franchise. Eilish joins previous winners, Adele and Sam Smith as the only singers to have won an Academy Award for their James Bond soundtrack.
