Pitso Mosimane Ditches Al Ahli Over Unpaid Salaries

South Africa-born coach Pitso Mosimane has dumped the Saudi club Al Ahli after not getting paid for several months. The South African was hired a while back and guided the team to promotion to the country’s elite league; the Saudi Pro League.

However, according to reports, he was not paid for four months. At four months, he decided he had had enough because the club does not appear to appreciate his services there. So he decided to discontinue his service at the club.

He was said to have written a letter to the management of the club via his legal team, notifying them of his termination of his contract, as they have failed to fulfill their obligations to him. Interestingly, his contract stipulated a renewal if he should guide the club to promotion to the Saudi Pro League.

At the moment, it is report that the club is actually cool with him leaving and is currently searching for a replacement coach. Al Ahli is currently facing serious financial challenges, and Motsimane is not the only one being owed by the club.

Al Ahli has been unable to pay salaries and transfer fees and was banned from signing new players as a result.

By the way, Pitso Mosimane was formerly a coach for the topflight South African club Mamelodi Sundowns.
