It is sometimes said that songs aren’t made at random but that there are strong emotions behind the making of them. At least this was the case with South African rapper Priddy Ugly.
You have probably heard of – or better still listened to – his song “Rest in Power.” But has it perhaps occurred to you that there were some emotions that led to the making of that number?
Well, the songster swelled on that recently. In a post on his X account, he recounted that the number was actually recorded last year – the first music session he had with his friend Khumz back then.
Around that period, he hadn’t written anything in a while and he wasn’t feeling inspired. But then, the number came and set the pedestal for the release of other numbers.
More like, it opened the floodgates that saw to the release of other songs. Not bad, really. You can check out the tweet below.

Priddy Ugly has got some of his fans reeling with sadness after noting that he’s dropping his last album – and did. Fans are hoping that he will reconsider his decision and continue to drop new music as usual.
Well, time will tell.
