Low Key Records boss Prince Kaybee has fired a subtle shot at his rival and Family Tree Records boss Cassper Nyovest and his Root of Fame sneaker brand.
The “Fetch Your Life” star is a friend to AKA, who happens to be Cassper Nyovest’s archrival. In a recent tweet, Prince Kaybee had hyped AKA and his “Super Soft” song with Costa Titch, while subtly mocking Cassper Nyovest.
Cassper Nyovest had entered into an R100 million sneaker partnership with Drip Footwear. But Kabelo is unimpressed with it at all. And he made it clear he’s no friend of the “Amademoni” hitmaker.
The latest sally is but one of several from Prince Kaybee so far. He had previously criticized Cassper Nyovest for gifting his Root of Fame sneakers to celebs instead of to fans who are supporting his music. According to him, gifting sneakers to celebs and not to fans would merely raise talking points with no real impact.
Prince Kaybee may have tried to be subtle in his latest attack, but Twitter denizens saw thought it, and they laughed knowing what “he did there.”
