Embattled RnB star, R. Kelly shares birthday post to Instagram from prison.
On the 8th day of January, RnB star, R. Kelly who has been in a jail cell for alleged sex crimes celebrated his 54th birthday. The embattled star took to Instagram to share a birthday post to himself.
The post quoted his 2011 hit song, “Shut Up” and also seemed to reference his current situation. The post was quite surprising because no one expected it. Kelly has been in the news for his ongoing trials. Last year, his legal team called for the release of the “Black Panties” star following an assault on him by another inmate at Chicago’s Metropolitan Correctional Centre.
According to reports, Kelly was in his cell when the inmate began assaulting him. His team argued that the RnB star was not safe in the cell. We do hope he at least had a happy 54th birthday.
