Rapper PnB Rock Gunned Down During Robbery In Los Angeles

Under the gun. That was how one columnist, weary of the perennial gun crime in the United States, had described the country. He has a point, perhaps. At least, opinions currently lean towards that following the killing in a Los Angeles restaurant of the rapper PnB Rock. He was 30.

The songster was reportedly at Roscoe’s House of Chicken & Waffle restaurant with his girlfriend when an attacker stormed the place.

According to the outlet, quoting the police, the rapper, whose birth name is Rakim Allen, was targeted for his jewellery.

Detailing what actually happened on that day, Kelly Muniz, a Los Angeles police captain, noted that the attacker brandished a gun and demanded items from Rock. The two had a verbal exchange, and the attacker fired shots at the rapper, fled the scene and joined a getaway car.

It has been raining condolences since the news broke of the rapper’s death. DJ Akademiks recalled an interview he had a week ago with PnB Rock in which he’d detailed how someone tried to rob him in Los Angeles while he was out with his girlfriend and daughter.

And now, sadly, death knocked.

The rapper last released a project dubbed “Luv Me Again” this month.
