Here is how SA Hip Hop stars reacted to Yanga Chief’s “Best Hip Hop Award” win at SAMA26.
Indeed, no one saw it coming that Yanga Chief would snag the “Best Hip Hop Album” win at this year’s South African Music Awards aka SAMA’26. However, during last night’s episode of the Award show, Yanga’s EP “Becoming A Popstar” was announced winner.
Literally everyone who witnessed it was happy for him. Maybe everyone except the those who boycotted the show because they weren’t nominated. However, well wishes from fellow Mzansi rappers including AKA, Kwesta, Tweezy, JR and K.O flooded social media.
Accepting the win, the talented muso spoke about his faith, and dedicated the win to his late father. It was indeed a touching moment for the star but we must say he deserved it. He also teamed up with rising rapper 25k to deliver an amazing performance. Shout out to him.
I just want to take this moment to let everyone know that I believe in GOD!! My story is too long to tweet, I’m forever indebted to SA HIP HOP. To the moon we go π. Just became a POPSTAR!!! Baby! Thank You South Ah!! πΎπΎπΎπΎ #BestHipHop#SAMA26
