SABC Launches SABC+ Streaming App Platform

The SABC has launched the SABC+ streaming app platform.

Several broadcast corporations worldwide have taken things up a notch with the launch of their streaming app platforms. The South African Broadcasting Corporation is the latest to do so as it announces the launch of SABC+.

According to an article shared on the company’s official website, the streaming platform will provide the best that SABC has to offer. This includes 19 radio stations and three free-to-air television channels SABC 1, SABC 2, and SABC 3, as well as the SABC Sports Channel and the SABC’s 24-hour news channel. The app will also feature local and international content.

SABC CEO Mdoda Mxakwe called the app “a key accomplishment in addressing universal access for all South African citizens” and “a great milestone for the SABC, and it’s also very great for our audiences. It’s a very interactive platform, and they can use it in a manner that can be able to view all our content whether you are talking radio, television, drama, and all the great content that we have,”
