The list of hip hop winners for the 27th edition of the South Africa Music Awards (SAMA) is out finally. And while some South African musicians are celebrating, others are sad. Expectedly. It’s a season of winners and losers.
Two-man band Blaq Diamond walked home with the Artiste of the Year plaques. It was a big win for Ndu “Brown” Mdletshe and Sphelele Danya, as well as for Ambitious Entertainment, whose other signee, Miss Pru DJ, won the Music Video of the Year award for her “Price to Pay” song (Ft. Blaq Diamond and Malome Vector).
The “Zulu Man With Some Power” Nasty C snapped The Best Hip Hop Album award. Other winners include Sjava and Sho Madjozi. Below is the full list of winners.
