SARS Issues Leeroy Sidambe’s Company Sakhile Ezweni Group A Demand for R63 Million in Unpaid Taxes

SARS has reportedly issued popular businessman Leeroy Sidambe’s company, Sakhile Ezweni Group, a demand for R63 million in unpaid taxes.

The South African Revenue Service (SARS) is reportedly on the neck of Leeroy Sidambe’s company, Sakhile Ezweni Group, over unpaid taxes. We hear it stacks up to a whopping R63 million. The company has been issued a letter of demand.

Sidambe’s woes began and became publicized after his very public romance and break-up with Beauty influencer Mihlali Ndamase, who accused him of owing her. According to a report by Sunday World, the businessman’s bills began piling up when he failed to pay his income taxes of R24.5M.

The publication reports that penalties accrued, and his debt was over R30M. He was issued a letter from SARS on 17 October 2023 demanding a fee within 10 days or risk having his assets auctioned or liquidated.

Mzansi has reacted to the news, joking that the businessman was involved with baddies instead of paying taxes. @bhekezinhle wrote,

“SA baddies have SARS as a side effect, once you date just know that SARS is coming for you sooner than later.” @slovo57467 replied, “Yho! I thought mine was bad – I owe SARS R9k on fines for not submitting returns for a company that never operated a day in its life.”
