Saxophonist Lee Konitz, 92, Lost His Life To Coronavirus Due To Complications

Popular Saxophonist, Lee Konitz dies of Corona virus related complications.

The 92 years old Saxophonist gave up the ghost due to Pneumonia acquired from the Covid-19 virus. His son John Konitz confirmed his death on American radio station. Lee died at the Lenox Hospital in New York on Wednesday 15th of April 2020.

The Saxophonist and Miles Davies collaborator born in Chicago on the 13th of October 1927, had a music career of well over 70 years and is popular for his improvisational skills on a couple of great songs released for decades.

Lee is known for some iconic works like the recorded trio sessions with Miles Davies that later became Miles “Birth of the Cool” album which was released in 1957. Making Lee the last surviving artiste to play on the session.

The Coronavirus pandemic has claimed a total of 130,000 lives worldwide and has seen the entertainment industry suffer a couple of loses. May his soul Rest In Peace.
