Last night in Los Angeles, Selena Gomez attended the premiere of the second season of the Hulu series Only Murders in the Building that she, Martin Short, and Steve Martin created. The actress came dressed for the occasion in a leading lady look. Gomez made her entrance wearing a sparkling silver Michael Kors cutout dress with Effy jewelry and her long, dark hair pulled back in a ponytail.
Gomez, in a red carpet interview with Variety, expressed her dismay at the ruling of the supreme court to overturn Roe v. Wade. “It’s about voting,” Gomez stated. “It’s about getting men—men needing to stand up and also speak against this issue. It’s also the amount of women that are hurting. I’m just not happy and I hope that we can do everything in our power to do something to change that.”
Gomez originally expressed her displeasure about the decision on Twitter, urging her followers to support Planned Parenthood and work to restore abortion rights across the country. “Watching a Constitutional right be stripped away is horrific,” tweeted Gomez. “A woman should have the right to CHOOSE what she wants to do with her own body. End of story.”
