Shona Ferguson Remembered 2 Years After Sudden Death

How time flies! It’s been exactly two years since South African filmmaker Shona Ferguson died, but his memory is still very much alive. South Africans never get tired of remembering “Uncle Sho,” as he is fondly called – a man that brought light to many lives.

Shone Ferguson died in 2021 from coronavirus-related complications. It was one death many, especially his wife Connie, had not seen coming. He was, after all, fit and bubbling with life just days ago. And then, out of the blues, he had taken ill.

Initially, it was thought that he had heart-related issues and had undergone surgery. But that was soon dismissed as the truth came to light. Since his passing, South Africans have been memorializing him the way they see fit.

By her, though, the woman who has been in the vanguard of remembering Shona and keeping his legacy alive is the widow he left behind. She has been consistent in her posts about him and the beauty they shared until his death.

A Twitter user with the name Jabulani chare a commemorative post about Shona recently, and South Africans thronged the comment section to remember the Ferguson Films boss once ago, as you can see below.
