South African disc jockey and producer Sithelo Shozi has accused her former lover Andile Mpisane and his mother Shauwn Mkhize of kidnapping Flo, the daughter she had for him.
In a recent court filing, she claimed that the kid was taken from her in the middle of 2022 after she took the kid on a visit to Andile Mpisane’s family house. She is crying out for the court to compel the mother and son to release the kid to her.
Her appeal has divided social media users, with some supporting her call to have the kid with her since she is just three years old and needs motherly attention. Some mocked her for her decision, stating that she wanted to use the kid as a bargaining chip to always ask for money and more money from Andile and his family.
And yet others insist that the kid deserves both fatherly and motherly attention and both parents should have access to her with a good co-parenting plan in place.
It has often been said that Shauwn Mkhize never fancied her son being with Sithelo Shozi because she is older, so when Andile Mpisane quietly got married to someone else, many were not surprised. Some even claimed that Shauwm was behind the decision, but she denied it.
