Netizens call for the arrests of award-winning actress Terry Pheto and popular fashion designer Thula Sindi after they got implicated in SIU’s latest report.
The Lotteries Commissions scandal has not been easy on Mzansi actress Terry Pheto, who already lost her house due to it. But according to a recent report by the SIU, it seems she benefited way more than that.
Briefly News reports that Terry Pheto and Thula Sindi were implicated in the SIU’s recent findings on the Lotteries Commission scandal. This has prompted social media users to call for their immediate arrest. The actress and the fashion designer have been criticized for benefiting at the expense of the poor.
Briefly writes that the SIU took to X and shared the findings of a recent investigation presented before Parliament’s Portfolio Committee on Trade and Industry on Wednesday, 14 February 2024. It revealed that
“Terry Pheto’s Tsoseletso benefited R253 000, the actress’s Sunguti Projects received 2.8 million, and R182 000 was transferred to her personal account, while Thula Sindi’s Black Planet Trading got R140 000 from the NLC.”
