Skeem Saam: Viewers Debate The Blind Driver Magongwa

Imagine having a drama in a drama. For most viewers of the South African soapie Skeem Saam, that’s actually what played out in the latest episode.

That episode saw a blind man, Magongwa, driving a car. That’s so usual and even incredible. So naturally, it had South Africans talking. And the opinions are as varied as can be.

As far as some viewers were concerned, that was some cock and bull sh!t, and to others, Stevie Wonder had nothing on their man Magongwa.

Most viewers picked out Magongwa for praise, noting he was incredibly good in the role for which he was cast. Some wondered how he, a blind man, could drive a car. As far as some viewers are concerned, he’s the first blind man in South Africa to drive a car.

Putla Sehlapelo played the Magongwa character. Fans thought he played the role so well, and they have been hailing him as the best actor and a living legend.

And yet some think Magongwa driving a car was a silyl line by scriptwriters. You can check out some of the comments below.
