Netflix’s first African original series titled, ‘Queen Sono,’ has been highly anticipated for months now. It was announced that the spy-thriller series which will star popular South African actress, Pearl Thusi, will premiere on the 28th of February in over 190 countries from across the world.
Several fans have been officially counting down to the release of the first African original Netflix series.
Queen Sono is written and created by comedian Kagiso Lediga. Pearl Thusi plays the role of an unconventional spy devoted to protecting Africans. However, while she was engaging in one of her assignments, she uncovers some shocking details about the death of her mother and this leads her on a mission.
On Thursday night, the premiere of Queen Sono was held at the Joburg Theatre in Johannesburg. Popular actress and media personality, Pearl Thusi, who plays the lead role in the Netflix series, looked stunning as she graced the event.
The South African music industry showered the talented actress with so much love at Queen Sono’s premiere as Thando Thabethe, Cassper Nyovest and Sho Madjozi graced the event.
