The death was confirmed by the award-winning group in a post to Instagram. The group sent condolences to everyone who lived with and loved the late singer, whom they said has gone to be with the Lord.

The group admitted missing the singer, affirming they will miss her for a long time. You can check out the post below.

The post provoked mourning among most of the group’s fans, who also shared their condolences in the comment section of the post. Until her death, Sipokazi had spent years with the group. She stands out for the energy of her singing.

Her burial has been slated for today 21 August, according to reports by Zalebs.

It’s been a hard year for South African music, as the coronavirus has not only deprived some of their livelihoods but has killed some musicians as well. Also, the week was particularly bad for the music scenes. Six amapiano musicians died in a car crash while heading for a gig. And with Sipokazi dying of cardiac arrest, the horizon looks darker.
