Stage 6 Load Shedding: Tbo Touch Shares The Woes His Business Is Experiencing

In South Africa, the spectre of load shedding, which is currently in its sixth stage, continues to walk tall, and many businesses are feeling the heat – really gasping for air.

South African media personality Tbo Touch is one man whose businesses are feeling the heat of stage 6 load shedding in South Africa. The situation is so bad that he had to admit it publicly while noting that SMMEs might have to shut down as a result.

In a recent tweet, the celebrated media personality noted that he doesn’t see his company functioning under the current level of load shedding, adding it is a serious struggle. And while he is not one to lose hope, he doesn’t expect to survive at this level.

His tweet has reached over 604k people on Twitter and garnered hundreds of comments, with many sympathising with him for the situation, and others noting they are facing similar issues.

The singer Lady Du was in the comment and noted that she heard it is no longer stager 6 but stage 8 load shedding, while also noting she has no clue what that means.

South Africa’s power utility Eskom, sporadically plagued with system failure, recently announced electricity tariff increase, further exacerbating the woes of consumers.
