Summons For DJ Maphorisa, Kabza De Small & Sha Sha Over No-Show

Amapiano artists DJ Maphorisa, Kabza De Small and Sha Sha have reportedly been issued a summons by a Pretoria Magistrate Court to appear before it for failing to show up for an event for which they had been booked in Zimbabwe.

The letter of summons was reportedly sent to Jansen & Jansen Attorneys, the legal representative of the three musicians. All three were given ten days to respond to the summons and possibly file a case countering that against them.

However, in the event that all three should fail to file a motion within the stipulated timeframe, a judgment might be given against them.

While social media is abuzz about the case against the three musicians, neither has commented about it at the time of writing. The reason for this is unclear, but it will be interesting to see how the case will pan out.

An artist not showing up for gigs after being paid for the same and after hotel bookings by event promoters is nothing novel in South Africa. We have seen this play out again and again. And from the look of things, it might not end anytime soon.

How DJ Maphorisa, Kabza De Sall and Sha Sha wriggle out of this is something many have been watching.
