Suspect In AKA’s Murder Challenges State to Prove His Involvement

A suspect in AKA’s murder has challenged the state to prove his involvement during a bail hearing.

The recent development of the AKA murder trial has shocked Mzansi. According to recent reports, the five suspects involved in the murder appeared at the Durban Magistrates Court for their bail hearing.

EWN reports that Lindani Ndimande, a 35-year-old taxi boss and bodyguard and also one of the five suspects, has asked the state to prove his involvement in the murder. The publication writes that in his affidavit, Ndimande accused the police of forcing him to confess to the murders during an intense interrogation.

“I challenge the State for a motive as to why I would have wanted to kill the deceased. In conclusion, I request this court to grant me bail as it deems fit.”

He further claimed that the top police officials have a vendetta against his family and his two brothers, Siyabonga and Malusi Ndimande, who were also arrested in Eswatini. According to him, they had to flee to the country for safety.

Ndimande said the National Intervention Unit (NIU) is an enemy of his family and alleged that he lost family members in shootings. Lindani is one of the three murder suspects who applied for bail.
