Controversial dancer Zodwa Wabantu was arrested by the SAPS the other night for allegedly flouting COVID-19/ lockdown rules.
Zodwa Wabantu was reportedly arrested by 3am. She accused those who arrested her of being uninterested in seeing her work permit but in bilking her off the sum of R5000.

In a video shared online, she was seen arguing with the arguing with the SAPs, describing her work as essential, while insisting she had not any lockdown rules. It was soon revealed that she was actually arrested for contravening the disaster management act.
The news of her arrest spawned mixed reactions online. One social media user thought it was Zahara’s ancestors at work. (Zodwa Wabantu had previously state that she hated Zahara).
Some social media users wondered why hers was considered essential work, while others simply expressed their support for her trying to earn a living amid the uncertainties caused by level 4 lockdown in South Africa.
