The Kiffness Reacts To Record 3 Weeks Of No Load Shedding

Famous artist The Kiffness has reacted to the record three weeks without load-shedding in South Africa.

The South African energy industry has been plagued with load-shedding for years now and Mzansi is very frustrated by it. However, recent developments have left citizens stunned and wondering what changed.

The South African recently reported that there has been uninterrupted power supply for three weeks and counting, a record this year. Minister of Electricity Kgosientsho Ramakgopa also shared a message that the no load-shedding milestone was due to “sustained generation capacity, adequate emergency reserves, and reduced electricity demand from the grid.”

Eskom also announced on Wednesday 17 April that load-shedding would continue to remain suspended till further notice.

They wrote, “Load shedding will continue to be suspended until further notice. This follows a period of 21 consecutive days and, as of midday today, 535 hours without load shedding”.

Reacting to this, famous artist, The Kiffness attributed it to the election season. He wrote,

“Imagine other countries announced a basic service working uninterrupted for three weeks as a milestone, lol. Election season is wild.”

An X app user @bigthebla also wrote, “First, no load shedding for weeks, then they magically found the switch off button for the e-tolls after many promises for many years, and now all of a sudden passenger trains are back to working again? Thank you, elections 😂”
