Goodbye David. No, no, no. We take that back. Goodbye,The Wife. Easily one of South Africa’s most popular soapies, The Wife is ending with its third season. There have been indications all along about the termination of the drama series, but things are finally shaping into a hard reality.
And some fans are sad – understandably. For one, the series, stoked with suspense, has been a staple for many music lovers for a long time. With the strong affinity developed over the years, it’s sad to let go.
While some fans are sad about the discontinuation of The Wife, others are cool with it. According to some of them, the series was slowly losing its appeal. So its discontinuation isn’t exactly a bad idea.
The Wife had some of Mzansi’s notables as part of its cast, including Khanyi Mbau and SK Khoza. It has some of the hottest scenes in Mzansi drama, most of which have trended along the line on social media.
Well, fans are in for the final instalment of the series – season 3. according to producers, the third and final season of the ShowMax series will premiere on November 10.
Touted to be the “most explosive season yet,” it will feature the likes of Naledi Montsho (played by Gaisang K Noge) and Qhawe Zulu (played by Kwenzo Ngcobo).
