South African DJ and singer Thuli Phongolo is excited that The Wife has premiered finally. She’s part of the cast of the telenovela.
Before the official premiere on The Wife, the songstress had informed her via Instagram that she was a part of the cast and bid them to look forward to the premiere.
The trailer of The Wife had charmed fans but the episodes released so far have had South Africans screaming for more. According to Showmax, which is airing the flick, it has broken previous records on the network, including that set by Game of Thrones.
So Thuli Phongolo’s excitement is understandable. In a recent post to Instagram, the DJ had noted that she was glad that fans had finally gotten to meet her character (Lerato). She insists she loves the character she played, a woman with a great sense of intent. She shouted out Showmax for the opportunity to be a part of the cast.
By the way, before she popped as Lerato in The Wife, Thuli Phongolo had courted controversy when she danced suggestively DJ Maphorisa during a gig. When the click of their “wild” moment together popped on social media, she trended alongside Phori.
Now, the attention is on Lerato.
