The wins continue for South African actress Thuso Mbedu. From the world of acting to fashion and branding, our girl keeps standing out, giving us many reasons to be proud. The news making the rounds online now is that she will be starring alongside Mark Ruffalo in a new HBO series.
Of course, she did;t have to fight and lobby and swear to get her new role. She has already paid her dues – as the cliche goes – via years of excellent acting. She has earned her stripes, so it is much easier to get other roles.
The HBO series, as yet untitled, will also feature Emilia Jones. The said series will document the lives and adventures of some FBI agents in Philadelphia who crack down on crime in the area. In the forthcoming series, Mbedu will play the role of Aleah, a detective recruited into the FBI task force to take care of crime in the area.
That’s a pretty adventurous role to play but it is nothing strange to her career, as some of her past roles have prepared her for the imminent HBO series. As usual, she is excited about her new role and so are her compatriots.
