South African music producer TNS of the “My Dali” fame has admitted to assaulting his girlfriend and baby mama Nothando Mbatha and is reportedly asking for help from the rainbow nation to deal with his “demon.”
TNS and Nothando Mbatha have a son together. Phupholethu is the name of TNS’s son and also the name of his recently released album.
Nothando confirmed that TNS actually hit her. She has reportedly broken up with him as a result of the assault.
The news of the assault popped amid the trending news that AKA, another South African musician, must have provoked his girlfriend to suicide by assaulting her. The songster denies the claims, though.
Assault – or better still gender based violence (GBV) – is a serious menace in South Africa. Over the past few years, many musicians have either been called out or taken to court over assault claims. Just recently, DJ Dukwa’s girlfriend called him out for assaulting her, leading Prince Kaybee to denounce the DJ publicly.
