Tony Forbes In Court, Speculates True Mastermind Of AKA’s Assassination Still At Large

The authorities in South Africa appear to be on course in their quest to unmask the killers of celebrated rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes, with the multiple arrests recently made.

The arrested suspects are appearing in court, and so is the family of the slain rapper, including his father, Tony Forbes, who is eager that the killers are exposed and prosecuted.

At court, Tony Forbes sat next to South Africa’s police affairs minister Bheki Cele when the faces of the suspects were revealed.

After the seating, though, he speculated that the true mastermind behind his son’s assassination might still be at large.

It is alleged that the coordinator of the assassination was paid R800k for the job. This made Tony Forbes wonder why the police had not traced the source of the money, which was shared among six others involved in the hit.

“Where did the money come from?” He asked. He pointed out that his gut feeling is that the true mastermind of his son’s assassination has not been arrested.

AKA was assassinated on February 10 last year just outside Wish Restaurant on Florida Road in Durban. Also killed with him was his former manager, Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane

It remains to be seen what will come out of the court case.
